ASHEVILLE
金曜日の夜在郷に行った。たくさん
面白い人と会った。たくさん写真
を取った。写真いっぱいUPしたいけど、
今から、仕事。楽しかったな〜〜
I just got back from Asheville, NC.
Ran into a lot of really cool people.
Some for the first time and some
for the first time in 13 years. Had
a really amazing time.
I took a lot of video and a lot of photos.
Really looking forward to getting them up.
But, we need to complete a Chapel. So for
now I leave you with my all time favorite
skate spot (one more that does not exist
anymore) Vance...
Well.... Got to at least upload one....

CHAPEL 進んでる〜〜
Things are coming together magically at the
Chapel. Pews are going over tomorrow. We just
finished sanding and finish coating them today.
In the three black walnut frames behind me
go these three beautiful works below. I will
explain them once they are installed.
Until then let it be a mystery...

THE PENGUIN
We cruised to the PENGUIN
DRIVE-IN today and grabbed
a bite to eat.
Originally an ice cream shop, around 1954
they started serving up hamburgers and dogs.
True American Cuisine.
Burger. Southern style. Coleslaw,
onions, chili with cheese, a side
of BBQ Pinto Beans and a $3
MODELO tall boy.
That is one darn good burger.
Work hard and paint big
I have been to design festa a few times and stop
by the gallery in Harajuku sometimes while I
am skateboarding around visiting friends at
their shops. Last time I was there we discussed
me doing live painting at this years August festa.
It would be my biggest live painting ever....!!
Also, in preparation for that we are working hard
on www.brilliantworld.jp. Original works will
be selected from a number of series by Isaac Schulz.
As well as select T-Shirts from the Brilliant World
SUPER ME TEE, Tokyo Collection. There is discussion
of a collaboration.... where a limited edition HERO figure
would be available. A number of works are being pondered
and created. Like below, "Who saves the hero?" a hardback
book of Isaac Schulz paintings.
All coming in the months ahead. Everything should
be up an running by the time I paint the largest
live painting in my life in August.

今日もとてもいい日でした
雨が本当にすごい！今日も降ったけど、
明日も降るみたい！！でも、実は雨も
きれいだね。。。だって、it is a
brilliant world............... www.brilliantworld.jp
Today we started moving pieces into the chapel
space. I have never been considered staff at a
hospital. Interesting. Many people seemed to be
pushing things. I was pushing a bench.
Pushing a bench to a space in Hospice.
It was really kind of neat. I thought about life. I
thought about death. I thought about now and then.
I thought about being quiet. I did not think
about leaving anything in the hallway because
a sign told me not to. I was paying attention.
And the bench made it safe into it's new home.
Here is one of the benches with a fabric color
sample and a flooring sample.
Also, while sipping a yummy coffee drink,
with rain pounding the roof of the truck
word came from NYC... good news from Carrie!!
I am super impressed. Looking forward to being
in NYC soon.

大雨！！！ザ〜ザ〜〜
今日は不思議ぐらい大雨だった！！
道は川になった。。。
Today 3 inches of river flowed
over my feet. まだ降ってる。
The lightning flashed down from
overhead. 急に寒くなった。
The thunder .... roared. かさは
意味ないね。
The yard began floating away.
It went on a trip down another
road. I recommended it go
straight. Although it should have
just stayed home.
SUVS braved the temporary
river. Sirens rang. TV helicopters
flew over head. Tom and I sat
down on a newly sanded pew.
Rain keeps falling, rain keeps
falling down....まだまだ降ってる。
雨〜雨〜音もきれい。
